My love affair with coffee began like so many others – a daily ritual, a warm embrace in a mug, and a dream of opening my own café. It wasn't until one day that I learned of the stark consequences of coffee waste from my morning cup that I started questioning my vision: for every kilogram of fresh coffee brewed, nearly 90% becomes spent grounds, a mountain of biomass destined for landfills. There, it decomposes, releasing greenhouse gases that silently contribute to our planet's woes. I felt a disconnect between my love for coffee and my responsibility to the Earth.
